Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.
 
We are actively seeking an experienced Billing Coordinator in Princeton, NJ. The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the timely preparation and generation of billing data. The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the timely preparation and generation of billing data. This role will also be responsible for the auditing and maintenance of billing records.
 
Starting Pay: $25.00 per hour 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Review billing data in Therap including attendance, ISP data, case notes, and generate for billing
  • Responsible for entering the ISS logs provided by the vendors for Texas
  • Effectively communicate and track errors for the appropriate departments
  • Review authorizations regularly for changes and complete updates
  • Ensure billing records and related information in Therap corresponds with that which is maintained at the state or local office level
  • Manage claim templates and update as changes occur
  • Maintain basic understanding of guidelines and regulations state by state
  • Work collaboratively with intake department and regional offices for troubleshooting issues impacting billing and cash flow
  • Document, tracks, and communicate any Medicaid issues or issues impacting billing with all appropriate departments
  • Exercise clear and concise communication with both Operations and Billing as well as external agencies
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of local and regional regulatory operations
  • Knowledge and understanding of state regulations
  • Understanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Familiarity with Medicaid
  • Working knowledge of ICD-10 codes
  • Therap experience is a plus
